Curl BC auctioning tickets to Scotties in Penticton

Curl BC is auctioning off two pairs of full event passes for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Penticton from Jan. 27 to Feb. 4. Funds raised from the auction will go towards youth curling in BC. The first pair of tickets will be auctioned off on Dec. 21. The second pair will be auctioned off from Jan, 8 to Jan. 22. To bid, visit

Provincial and territorial playdowns will decide 14 of the 16 teams that will be in Penticton, including the BC Scotties in Victoria, Jan. 2-7. The other two teams will be the winner of a wild card game on Friday, Jan. 26 and Manitoba's Michelle Englot as Team Canada. Englot was runner-up in last year's Scotties, but was given the Team Canada entry when last year's champion, Rachel Homan, qualified for the Olympics.

All games will take place at the South Okanagan Events Centre and the HeartStop Lounge will be located at the nearby Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.
