Eight-Ender Rings in Second Week of League Play
In only the second week of league curling in the brand new home of the Vancouver Curling Club, the first Eight-Ender was accomplished by "North of 40" of the Pacific Rim Curling League!
North of 40 scored their eight-ender at 7:56pm on October 3, 2011 while playing the fourth end of their game on sheet five - the first-ever eight-ender at Hillcrest Centre.
The third eight-ender at the VCC in the past 10 months, North of 40 achieved this rare feat with Skip Rick Feeney needing to throw a draw on his final stone. "In 35 years of curling, this is the first time I have ever had an 8-ender," said skip Rick Feeney."It's a once-in-a-lifetime achievement!"
Congratulations to North of 40 for scoring your eight ender, and the club will be sure to pass along your pins, certificates and more that will be arriving soon.
Left to Right: lead Lee Rivett, second Reg Krage, third Brad McKeage, skip Rick Feeney
