2008 marks the inaugural year for the VCC Ladies Totem Cashspiel. The 14-team event will feature some of the best women's high performance curling teams from across Western Canada.

The draw is set and some of the best ladies curling teams in the province will be competing, with the exception of the Kelly Scott team (they will be in Nova Scotia).

Team Mallett will be representing the Vancouver Curling Club against challengers that include:
Team MacInnes - defending Provincial Champions from Kamloops,
Team Tasaka - a qualifier in two Cashspiels this year,
Team Rescksiedler - recent Champion of the Valley Cashspiel, and
Team Wheatcroft - a qualifier at the Abbotsford Cashspiel and lead by an Olympic Bronze Medalist.

The other teams competing include multiple Provincial Champions at many different levels - from Juniors to Seniors.

All Club Members are welcome to come out and watch the enstire event. But if you come to see some of the Playoff games on Sunday, then you can enter into a draw for a set of Opening Weekend tickets for the 2009 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Victoria.

And all interested spectators are encouraged to mark November 28-30 on your calendars for three days of exciting curling action at the VCC.
